A natural medicine for acute & chronic pain relief that gets results without the dangerous
side effects of cortisone!
Sarapin is an aqueous solution derived from the pitcher plant (Sarracenia
purpurea), which is effective in relieving muscle and neuralgic pain. It has been used successfully as a biological
medicine over 70 years. This pitcher plant extract is an FDA-approved prescription product. It is believed that the
effectiveness of Sarapin arises from its ability to initiate body’s own natural healing.
In an earlier study, the preparation was noted to have an effect upon sensory nerves,
relieving neuralgic pain without change in skin sensation, and having no effect upon the motor nerves. Tests of
toxicity revealed that it was harmless and no evidence of tissue coagulation or sclerosis could be
found.
Uses
Sarapin has been used extensively for the relief of muscular & nerve pain.
Sarapin treatments can help with many types of muscle or nerve condition such as:
• Sciatic Pain • Hip Pain • Low Back Pain • Mid Back Pain • Upper Back Pain • Pain Between the Ribs • Neck Pain • Pain down the Arms
Effects
For treatments of neuralgic pain, Sarapin’s selective action on the C fibers and
its lack of effect on motor nerves make Sarapin superior to anesthetics such as procaine which act merely by
anesthetizing the entire nerve and surrounding tissue. Also, there is no tissue destruction as is the case when
alcohol is used; there are no systemic reactions, and a lasting effect is obtained.Sarapin is as effective as
steroids in managing chronic, persistent low back pain. However, using Sarapin has more advantages over
conventional drugs. It has minimal adverse effects, no accumulation of it in any organ such as the liver, and your
body excretes it without your liver processing it.
Sarapin vs. Cortisone
Sarapin and Cortisone are similar to each other in some ways. They can both be
used to reduce inflammation and they both provide pain relief. Also, they are recognized by the FDA and AMA, and
both require prescriptions for treatments requiring injections. Lastly, they are both recognized as possible
treatments for the ailments mentioned.
However, Sarapin and cortisone have differences as well. Sarapin is a biological
medicine, meaning it is acquired from a naturally occurring organism. Cortisone is a chemical medicine, meaning it
is made from a chemical process. Unlike cortisone which can be toxic, Sarapin is non-toxic and does not accumulate
in the organs.
Cortisone may cause side effects including thinning of skin, easy bruising, weight
gain, puffiness of the face, increase in blood pressure, cataract formation, osteoporosis, and avascular necrosis
which is rare but can cause serious damage.
Sarapin has no known side effects. It has no damaging or weakening effect on
cartilages, bones, or tendons, which makes it possible to administer Sarapin treatments multiple times within a
short period for maximum pain relief.
So Why Havent' You Heard of Sarapin?
As a biological medicine, Sarapin lacks profitability and marketing that typical
medical drugs have.
Sarapin also cannot be patented, so it can be sold on the open market without the
huge price mark-ups common with patent protected medicines.
Research
It was stated that Sarapin produced prolonged relief in contrast to fleeting or
negative results with other solutions, novocaine, saline, and water. In a number of instances, patients with
neuralgic pain obtained prolonged relief by a subsequent injection of pitcher plant distillate compared to
novocaine.
In an animal study, the pitcher plant distillate was explained by experiments
performed on the action potentials of the saphenous nerve of a cat, which showed that the C-fiber potential was
completely obliterated by pitcher plant extract after immersion in the solution for about 5 minutes. Also the
maximal A spike was somewhat reduced.
